According to the priority and mission of Rev Pastor Prophet P S
Maforikan to seek for the unity and lost love of this church.
He took the bold steps by paying a courtesy visit to Pastor Agbaossi in
Port-Novo Republic of Benin on several occasions and extended hands of
fellowships to Pastor Emmanuel Oschoffa.
During one of the crucial telephone conversation of the 3 Pastors, they
unanimously chose to have a comprehensive unification meeting on
Wednesday February 4, 2004. Which was planning to be covered by the
press, so that the whole world will know that Celestial Church Of Christ
is based on orderliness and Oneness.
On this faithful Wednesday chosen for the peaceful unification meeting,
held at the Supreme Headquarter of Celestial Church Of Christ in
Republic of Benin. Rev Pastor Agbaossi and Rev Pastor Prophet P S
Maforikan with their entourage were present at the meeting waiting
timelessly for the arrival of Pastor Emmanuel Oschoffa.
Unfortunately, Pastor Emmanuel Oschoffa did not show up rather he sent
undesirable, dismayed and outrageous letter to them, that “If you want
to see me come over to Imeko”. On hearing this, the two pastors call his
mother’s attentions to what transpired between them and his son, she
quickly apologized on his behalf and said it is the work of the devil,
they should forgive him.
But what on earth could make Pastor Emmanuel Oschoffa to boycott such
important meeting that will bring lasting solution to the problem of
segregation facing the Church. If he truly call himself a man of peace,
why did he neglect such a crucial meeting that suppose to bring the lost
love back to the fold?
Through findings we got to know that he was giving people imaginary
anointment to the position of Venerable, Most Sup Elder Sister,
Assistant Sup Evangelist etc It is called imaginary because the cloths
they will use for those positions are yet to be decided on. Even those
given the anointment feel UN-comfortable and ashamed to be address as
such because they are yet to know their fate.
But giving anointment or upliftment, without spiritual growth should not
be the priority of any leader that really have the progress of this
Church at heart but should rally round to seek for unity, love and
progress of this great church. Wait and Meditate on this a word is
enough for the wise.
